Back home in Northern California, there is a peninsula called Point Reyes. I took my dad’s camera there on my first backpacking trip. I thought I knew every beach, bluff, and trail. But with a camera, my backyard felt entirely new.

I lost myself in the lens.

Photography slowed me down. It taught me to notice the hue of wildflowers, the texture of sand, and the curve of coastal cliffs. What began as a way of documenting a place I loved became a way of rediscovering it. Through the camera, I found new stories to tell and new questions to ask about the life all around me.

Today, photography is both my language and my art. Light is my pen, paintbrush, and voice. Through photography, I communicate my appreciation for the planet and the people who walk its many paths. My work explores the relationship between people and place, capturing the raw abundance and radiant beauty of the present.

I use photography to give light to the people and places that connect us, and to reveal what is all around when we take a moment to look.
